- To create a community within the LAPPL
Execution:
Specific sections have been created during the publication’s lifespan to meet client objectives. Two examples are, a monthly section highlighting each Division of the LAPD authored by their members, and a monthly article written by Trade News International, Inc. staff, titled “Beyond the Badge,” which highlights the accomplishments of officers and/or groups within LAPPL who volunteer their time to serve their fellow officers or the public.
Results:
The Thin Blue Line is truly a publication that meets the needs of its readership and creates affinity within the association membership. The publication is well known nationally in the law enforcement community because of its timeliness, its quality information, and the variety of editorial content presented.
