King Fish Media, one of the fastest growing custom media firms (named to the Inc. 5000 and the Entrepreneur magazine Hot 500 in 2007) in the US is seeking a highly motivated Sales Director to be responsible for custom media sales to both B2B and B2C companies. The position reports the Vice President, Sales and is located in our offices overlooking Salem Harbor.

The position requires that you be highly motivated, and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, small business environment. We are looking for someone with senior experience in media, marketing and solutions-based selling who wants to be part of the next wave of media. King Fish believes in content marketing with a media platform-agnostic approach. You must thrive in a “hands-on” and high-pressure environment where you will be on the front lines. This is not a position where you will just be a part of a large sales force, and your success will have a significant and immediate impact on the company.

The Sales Director’s job is to find and develop new custom media opportunities in print, interactive, webcasting or face-to-face events, and you should have experience in selling direct marketing, custom media, loyalty/affinity programs, market research, advertising and publishing.

This strategic position requires a successful track record of high-level, consultative and collaborative sales to senior executives. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate success at selling strategic content-based programs to Fortune 1000 companies as well as mid-sized emerging enterprises. The Sales Director will be selling and executing solution-based customer acquisition and retention programs to help companies meet their marketing needs and drive profitability. This position requires a BA/BS, 7-10 years of proven sales experience and will consist of at least 40% travel. King Fish offers excellent benefits and a very competitive compensation package.
