The successful candidate must have the following: superior magazine consumer writing and editing skills; extensive experience managing in house senior editors and writers; a deep understanding and passion for magazines and their readers; the ability to create and implement a vision for new magazines on a variety of topics that serve the needs of clients ; the ability to create processes and guidelines for the editorial department; a savvy understanding of the print/web connection; and the ability to work effectively with clients and staff.
