Summary of Responsibilities
Provides sales of custom published magazines, newsletters and other related media

Qualifications

  • College degree
  • Experience in marketing, direct marketing, advertising, publishing and sales. 
  • Must have strong telephone, verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Experience reaching marketing and communications executives is critical.
  • Must have strong presentation skills.
  • Must have history of negotiating complex relationships and contracts.
  • Must be tenacious, self-managed and independent. 
  • Must interact with internal and external relationships with a high level of customer service, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
  • Must be willing to go the extra mile for new business development.
  • Must be inquisitive, probing and engaging.
  • Must understand most creative and technical aspects of publishing and custom publishing.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies opportunities for custom media relationships.
  • Executes lead generation via daily outbound telephone prospecting, mail campaigns.
  • Provides timely follow-up, qualifying prospects and setting sales appointments.
  • Collects and maintains files of custom media products. 
  • Probe prospects for goals and create custom media strategy to achieve them.
  • Work directly with creative, editorial, production, and client services.
  • Must be able to physically and mentally handle frequent travel.
